2025 Singapore International Youth Modern Music Competition

The Singapore International Youth Modern Music Competition is an international event established to promote modern music and performing arts. It aims to create a global platform for music exchange, use music as a bridge to facilitate artistic interactions among young people, discover and nurture talent in modern music performance and composition, and promote the global development of modern music.  

新加坡國際⻘少年現代⾳樂⼤賽是為推廣現代⾳樂演藝事業⽽創⽴的⼀項國際賽事。 旨在創造國際化⾳樂交流平台，以⾳樂為紐帶助⼒⻘少年藝術交流，發掘培養現代⾳樂表演與創作⼈才，推動全球現代⾳樂的發展。

• Solo: Solo Instrument Performance.  
• 獨奏組：單⼈樂器表演

• Duo: Four-hand piano performance or two-person ensemble with different instrument combinations.  
• ⼆重奏組：鋼琴四⼿聯彈、或不同樂器組合的雙⼈表演

• Band: A band performance by three or more people with different instrument combinations.  
• 樂隊組：不同樂器組合的三⼈以上樂隊表演

• Children's Group A: Under 7 years old  
• Children's Group B: 8-9 years old  
• Children's Group C: 10-11 years old  Youth Group A: 12-13 years old  
• Youth Group B: 14-15 years old  
• Youth Group C: 16-17 years old

This competition adopts the “Pre-selection Round – Final” selection system. In the pre-selection round, candidates are required to submit performance videos to the organizing committee’s email address and await the evaluation results. The registration period for the pre-selection round is from April 1 to April 20,2025. The organizing committee will notify participants via email by May 1 regarding their selection for the finals in Singapore and will release the detailed rules and regulations for the finals. 

本賽事採⽤「預選賽－總決賽」的選拔賽制。預選賽時，參賽選⼿透過⽹絡提交演奏影片發⾄組委會信箱，等待評審結果。 本屆預選賽報名時間為2025年4⽉1⽇⾄4⽉20⽇。大會將於5⽉1⽇前透過電子郵件通知參賽者是否⼊選新加坡總決賽，並公佈總決賽細則。

• Play a piece of music of the candidate’s own choice.  
• The performance time for the Solo, Duo, and Band categories in the Children's Groups is within 4 minutes. The performance time for the Solo, Duo, and Band categories for Youth Groups is within 5 minutes, and candidates may perform with the music score.  
• Accompaniment music is allowed in Solo and Duo categories, but it is not permitted in Band categories.  
• Candidates may register for the Solo, Duo, and Band categories simultaneously.  
• The video submission must be recorded from an angle that clearly shows the performer’s movements.  
• The submitted performance video must be recorded within three months prior to the registration date. The file name of the video should indicate the "name+group+major+work name" of the performer.

• 演奏⾃選樂曲⼀⾸。
• ⼉童「獨奏、⼆重奏、樂隊」⽐賽組演奏時間為4分鐘以內，⻘少年「獨奏、⼆重奏、樂隊」⽐賽組演奏時間為5分鐘以內，可看譜演奏。
• 獨奏、⼆重奏⽐賽可使⽤伴奏⾳樂，樂隊組不可使⽤伴奏⾳樂。
• 選⼿可同時兼報「獨唱、⼆重奏、樂隊」組⽐賽。
• 提交影片的拍攝⻆度需能清楚看到演奏動作。
• 提交的演奏影片需為報名前三個⽉內的演奏錄影，影片⽂件名稱需註明演奏選⼿的「姓名+組別+專業+作品名」。

• Competitors must comply with the requirements outlined in the competition regulations, accurately and completely fill out the registration information, and ensure its authenticity.
• Competitors agree to grant the organizers of this competition the rights to use  their performances during the competition, award ceremonies, and other related activities, including all images and photographs, for purposes of promotion, photography, audio and video recording, broadcasting, internet distribution, and the production,exhibition, and global publication of competition-related audiovisual albums and catalogues,without financial compensation. The copyright of any audiovisual products and derivative works resulting from these uses shall belong exclusively to the organizers, and no additional remuneration will be provided to the competitors. 
• Competitors are required to carefully review the relevant content of the regulations. By completing the official competition entry, competitors agree to comply with the competition rules and conditions, and with the jury’s decisions. 
• The competition organizing committee reserves the right of final interpretation of these regulations. 

• 參賽選⼿需嚴格遵照章程要求，完整、準確的填寫報名信息，並保證其真實性。
• 參賽選⼿同意將其本⼈在⽐賽、頒獎⾳樂會上的演出，以及各項活動中的影像及照⽚⽆償授權本次⽐賽的主辦⽅進⾏宣傳、攝影、錄⾳錄影、⼴播映、資訊⽹絡傳播、以及賽事相關⾳像專輯與圖冊的製作、展覽及全球出版發⾏；因此⽽產⽣的⾳像製品等衍⽣產品的著作權歸主辦⽅所有，不再向參賽選⼿另付報酬。
• 選⼿需認真了解本章程的相關內容，參賽即被認為是已經完全同意本章程的內容並願意遵守參賽規則。
• ⽐賽組委會對本章程享有最終解釋權。

• No registration fee is required for the preliminary round.

• The organizing committee will notify selected participants via email by May 1, 2025, regarding their qualification for the Final Round (July 28-30, 2025). 
• Selected participants must complete the final round registration fee payment within five working days to secure their spot. 
• Payment instructions will be provided in the official notification email.

• 本屆預選賽不收取報名費，報名時間為2025年4⽉1⽇⾄4⽉20⽇。
• 組委會將於5⽉1⽇前透過電子郵件通知參賽者是否⼊選7⽉28-30⽇的總決賽，⼊選⼿需在5個⼯作⽇內繳總決賽報名費以鎖定名額，繳費通道將在郵件通知書中發布。
